Off-roading is a good place to be. Away from the hustle and bustle of the road most traveled and a vehicle that is (hopefully) up to the task of being beaten, bruised and capable of countering whatever the terrain.
That’s why Dirt Every Day hosts its “Cheap Truck Challenge” yearly to show how inexpensive it can be to create an off-roader that is up to snuff. This year, Chevrolet was represented in fine fashion.
The gone, but not forgotten, 1986 Chevrolet Blazer arrives ready to do battle in the competition against a more mundane Jeep Liberty. From the start, the Blazer has the edge, not only in capability but in being a solid vehicle. Our hosts state the Liberty was already suffering from a rod knock at the beginning of the video.
Through some cheap modifications, both of the vehicles take to some treacherous terrain in an effort to choose a winner. Does the old Blazer have what it takes? You’ll have to press play above.
