Truck Tows C7 Corvette Over Bad Parking While Not In Neutral: Video

Sigh. We simply can’t help but echo the descriptor used by this report from Jalopnik: asshat.

First of all, parking like an idiot is a surefire way to make anyone angry, automotive enthusiast or not. The driver of this parked C7 Corvette is guilty as charged. However, taking the initiative to try and correct it, like the driver of this Dodge Ram bro-dozer, is not cool. Not at all.

Most importantly because the C7 Corvette here was not in neutral when the truck driver decided to tow it away from its parking spot. The rear wheels lock in an awful orchestra of squealing as the torque pulls the Corvette away anyways.

So, moral of the story? Don’t park like a jerk, and don’t mess with other people’s things. Pretty simple, right? We think so.

  2. It is never a good idea to take the law into your own hands, the worst result to the person pulling the vett is he will have to pay for a new set of rear tires, somewhere in the $800.00 range each and to any other damage he did to the car. The video will tell all, because all they have to do is enhance it to get the plate number and them the Judge will rule. I don’t like people who park stupid either, but there are tow companies who make a living towing cars parked like this.
then he has to pay to get it back.

    1. Enhance it? CSI is not real life and pixels cannot be magically added.

vehicle access is automatIcally denied once all occupants have exited. i ‘m not saying the tow truck driver was right or wrong, rather there was no way to put the transmission in neutral without forcibly entering the vehicle.

  4. The first comment on Jalopnik says it all. Smallest indeed.
