What you see here is the updated and refreshed 2017 Buick Encore, which will launch in China on June 18.
The standard updates are all there, including LED accented headlamps, intelligent all-wheel drive, OnStar connectivity, power sunroof and the latest Buick IntelliLink system.
But, we’re really digging the 2017 Encore in this deep red hue. We don’t know if Buick will bring the red to the North American color palette, but it should. The Encore is by no means a sports car, but it takes on a different look in the flashy red. The leather interior even receives red seat inserts to jazz it up on the inside, too.
The Encore is a hot seller around the world. It has become Buick’s best seller in North America, and sold 260,000 units in China since its 2012 introduction.

Every model should have a red option, I can never understand why Cascada isn’t available in red.
I wouldn’t get too excited about this. This red is probably supposed to represent “Winterberry Red Metallic”, which is a preexisting Encore color. For some reason, all of Buick China’s color representations on their website or press photos tend to look more vibrant than they actually are in real life.
Looking at Buick’s Encore.. one wonders whether this is the smallest CUV or whether they would consider building either a 2-seater or a CUV with no trunk area.
