Despite the 2017 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 being shown off entirely, and being able to go for a ride in a prototype, it was stated the summer would be the time to finish development of the hottest sixth-generation Camaro variant yet.
True to the statement is this video, showing the 2017 Camaro ZL1 taking to the Nürburgring in Germany for additional testing. Who knows, maybe we’ll actually get a ‘Ring time from this vehicle.
The 2017 Camaro ZL1 also lacks official performance data, something coming after summer we’d guess, although the 6.2-liter supercharged LT4 V8 engine is good for around 650 hp and 650 lb-ft of torque in this application. Not to mention, there’s also a ten-speed automatic gearbox sending power to the rear wheels, too.
So, enjoy the video montage as two ZL1s take to the track, honing performance and providing crucial data before the car arrives later this year.

Chevrolet President Alan Baty nudges Cadillac President Johan de Nysschen before saying.. don’t you wish it was either a Cadillac ATS-V or CT6 whipping through the Nurburgring track with a 640 horsepower LT4.
