2017 Chevrolet Colorado Shoreline Ready To Soak Up The Sun

We now know exactly what Chevrolet had in mind when we discovered the trademark filing for the “Shoreline” name, and after speaking to the brand directly on the matter. Give a warm welcome to the 2017 Chevrolet Colorado Shoreline.

The 2017 Colorado Shoreline is the next in a handful of special editions to continue targeting specific segments of the truck market. The Colorado Shoreline is aimed specifically at the Californian buyer, where there are more midsize trucks in Los Angeles than in the next two largest markets combined.

“The new Colorado ignited the midsize pickup market, accounting for 74 percent of the growth in the segment in 2015,” said Sandor Piszar, Chevrolet truck marketing director. “This year, we are continuing that momentum with the Shoreline edition designed specifically for customers in the segment’s biggest market.”

The 2017 Colorado Shoreline picks up a few key trends from the Californian aftermarket scene: bright exterior colors, blacked out trim and minimal chrome. It will be available only in Silver Ice Metallic, Summit White, Laser Blue, or Red Hot exterior colors.

The 2017 Colorado Shoreline receives a body-color front grille, combined with black, 18-inch wheels and black trim for the door handles, mirrors and beltline. Additionally, the Colorado Shoreline will be bundled with three of the midsize truck’s most popular features: spray-in bedliner, all-weather floor liners, and one-year of Sirius XM radio subscription.

Chevrolet has not spoken out regarding price, but the 2017 Colorado Shoreline will be ready to hit the beach this summer.

  3. How about a real new model, not just a paint treatment. We are ready for another ZR2 and you are dragging your feet, GM.

  4. The one thing that could prevent me from buying one of these trucks is the of a power roof. I have gotten used to having one and would love the option offered.

  5. With a name and theme like Shoreline, how about a fabric retracting sunroof, maybe a water hose in the bed to spray off sand, or exterior speakers for a beach party.

  6. Interesting that it only comes in as an Ext. cab, no crew cab? I guess that’s what is popular in SoCal.

  7. Maybe I am considered to old, to even comment on the Shoreline, especially since I don’t care for the look…Oops, I just commented. So, I will use this opportunity to request a true SS mid size Chevy pickup, a stylish, leather lined 6 cylinder, with chrome rims and grille, along the style of our beautiful Deep Ocean Blue 2015 Silverado, with the appearance package and the 6.2 V-8 ? Available in both Double or Crew Cab…We would buy that today!!

  8. PS: Our gorgeous, and heavily complemented new 2015 Chevy Silverado is an LTZ, with all the trim and comfort options…a Borla exhaust system, a bed rug and Lear bed lid. And it is not a Z71 model, it is a 4×4 with the Z60 Performance suspension and best of all it wears the Texas Edition badges ? Our Chevy has repeatedly been called, with intended praise and envy, ‘One Bad Ass Classy Ride’…Yes, we Love our Chevy Silverado ?? an All American Truck, that cannot be driven without Smiling!!

  11. The 2013 2.8 litre colarado needs a minimum V6 3 litre diesel motor for towing. There needs to be improvement in the braking system, when applying brakes over 30 km/h the front wheels wobble and takes a lot of handling the steering wheel to keep on the road. There needs to be better way of slowing the vehicle going down hills, I push the gear stick from auto over to manual and change down to a lower gear but you still have to do a lot of braking
