Fans of the Verizon IndyCar Series will notice some changes after the first race of the season, the Firestone Grand Prix Of St. Petersburg, kicks off on March 13th. There’s some new tracks in the way of Road American and Phoenix International Raceway, revised aero kits from both Chevrolet and Honda and also new liveries on some of the cars.
One of the cars that has received a fresh new livery for 2016 is Tony Kanaan’s No. 10 NTT Data/Chip Ganassi Racing Chevrolet. The red/blue livery that adorned the car last year has been swapped out for a blue/white livery, CGR announced in Twitter today, giving the car a cleaner, less busy appearance.
Tony Kanaan finished eighth in last year’s IndyCar driver’s championship after scoring three podiums at St. Petersburg, Texas and Fontana. He’ll no doubt be looking to improve on his 2015 championship result as he and the rest of Team Chevy works to defend the automaker’s manufacturer’s title in the series this season.
