Any first is a big deal. First steps, first speeding ticket; it can be good or bad. Though, today, we have something very good.
Here is the very first 2016 Chevrolet Camaro to crack the ten-second mark in the quarter-mile. Not only that, but it is successful in pulling off a small wheelie on the jump.
The 2016 Camaro SS was merely four days sold at the time the video was filmed, and it was sent immediately to B&R Performance for modifications. The 10.6-second, 129 mph time was achieved with a tune, proper slicks and a 150-shot of nitrous. Taking away the go-fast juice resulted in a still impressive 11.77-second, 119 mph time.
We have a feeling, no, we know, there will be plenty of gnarly builds to come based on the incredibly capable 2016 Camaro. Hell, we learned the car is really pushing closer to 430 horsepower to the wheels themselves. There’s plenty of room for power here, and the aftermarket will surely unlock it.

Sounds like an automatic too……
