General Motors Joins United Nations Global Compact

General Motors has become the most recent member of the United Nations Global Compact, the world’s largest responsibility initiative. The compact concerns itself with global issues such as human rights, labor, the environment and anti-corruption to name a few.

GM said after analyzing its current policies and practices, the automaker found a very close alignment with with the U.N. Global Compact initiatives. GM hopes to contribute to the the compact’s greatest cause, which so to continue developing Sustainable Development Goals.

Come May 2016, GM will release its latest sustainability report, and provide more insight on how the U.N. Global Compact aligns with core values at the automaker.
