With the global debut of the 2026 Cadillac Lyriq-V in the United States, General Motors’ luxury brand confirmed the performance EV crossover for select global markets.

Cadillac has confirmed that it will offer the all-new 2026 Cadillac Lyriq-V in some markets around the world, stating that the first electric vehicle to receive the brand’s V-Series badge will be built in both left-hand-drive and right-hand-drive configurations and will be sold in a variety of countries. In addition to the U.S. market, the automaker confirmed that the 2026 Lyriq-V will be headed to Canada, Australia and New Zealand.

“The Lyriq-V is a truly remarkable representation of the luxury, performance and innovation prowess that are the foundations of the Cadillac brand,” said Vice President Global Cadillac, John Roth. “The Cadillac portfolio is even greater with our newest addition,” he added.

In addition to announcing the introduction of the high-performance EV in major countries in North America and Oceania, the American brand said that the 2026 Cadillac Lyriq-V will also arrive in more international markets that will be announced at a later date. Cadillac has a formal presence in China where no V-Series model is offered, the Middle East, South Korea, Japan and a half-dozen countries in Europe such as France, Switzerland and Germany.

As GM Authority detailed in its previous report, the new 2026 Cadillac Lyriq-V introduces more aggressive styling and an athletic character that will up the ante for the luxury crossover. The V-Series model is based on the Sport trim and stands out for adopting an exclusive design with unique components such as bumpers with diffusers, side skirts, new wheels, and V-Series moldings that highlight its radical high-performance aesthetic.

The new 2026 Cadillac Lyriq-V will officially launch in North America early next year, shortly after it starts series production at GM Spring Hill plant in Tennessee, which is responsible for supplying all major international markets. The Lyriq is also built in China, but it’s highly unlikely that the new Lyriq-V will be produced there. Cadillac has yet to reveal the technical specifications of the first crossover to bear the V-Series badge.

  1. I expect the Lyriq-V to out accelerate all other luxury EVs in the same price range, especially all the imports. Ford has nothing to compete against it.
