2016 Cadillac CT6 Gets Exclusive Bose Panaray 34-Speaker Sound System

We’re less than a week away from when Cadillac will unveil its highly anticipated 2016 CT6 sedan to camera flashes and gawking eyes, and from what we’ve seen, the car sounds like it will incredible. But as a matter of fact, it will produce incredible sound because audio industry leader, Bose, is introducing an exclusive sound system for the 2016 Cadillac CT6.

The Bose Panaray system will debut alongside the car on March 31st, and was developed to produce the most advanced, highest-performing audio system ever seen in an automobile. Cadillac says the Bose Panaray system reproduces music with more clarity, precision, and deep bass, beyond any system preceding it. 34 speakers are placed strategically throughout the cabin for optimal experience and clarity, all measuring less than four inches.

“We asked Bose to create something truly special for this new vehicle: an unbounded sound system, providing an audio experience unmatched in any other luxury automobile,” said Travis Hester, 2016 Cadillac CT6 executive chief engineer. “Cadillac CT6 customers will be elated by what they hear and feel when they switch on the Bose Panaray system.”

The Bose partnership traces back 35 years, when Cadillac and Bose redefined what premium audio meant in a luxury vehicle, and Marc Mansell, Vice President of Bose Automotive Systems, is ready to redefine it once more.

“There are no short-cuts to this kind of performance,” said Mansell. “The Bose Panaray system uses a bold design architecture, and it was made possible by continuous, relentless research. That’s how we established the category with Cadillac over three decades ago. We were obsessed with performance then, and we still are.”

The Bose Panaray system joins the list of many other creature comforts expected to don the flagship Cadillac, including massaging seats, innovative new rear-view mirror and a host of new engines.

There’s a lot riding on the CT6, and Cadillac is coming to the 2015 New York International Auto Show guns ‘a blazing, pulling only the highest standards for its new high standard.

  1. If you look close in the image it looks like the seat adjustment buttons have been moved to the doors like Mercedes does. Tough to tell but looks like just two switches. I was hoping Cadillac would copy MB and add power headrests but we’ll have to wait and see to be sure.

    1. I really hope Cadillac benchmarked MB and Audi as far as interiors are concerned. I’d say out of the big 3 German luxury brands BMW ranks last when it comes to having a cushy, stylish cabin.

  2. Damn I was hoping for 36 speakers I hate odd numbers LOL!

I think you may get the power headrest as this car will have power just about anything you can think of.
The interior is going to be where the greatest focus of this car will be. Technology and Quality inside will be where the most focus will be. Not that the rest of the car will be lacking much.

Look for this interior to take the CTS trim and options to the next level.

This will be the best interior you have ever sat in with any GM car and very likely any American car.

Well, that isn’t saying much, since american cars are infamous for their crappy interiors.

In the mean time German and Japanese interiors are taking leaps forward.

      1. And the rest of the car trail American cars.

  5. Aahhhaaa. how close do I have to look to see the buttons aahhaaaa. I’m actually not really deepened, that many of these cars, and many of the buttons on the door of the seats. and what difference it has with these buttons are. nor are any buttons on the door of the car immediately mb does not. One thing is the button layout. The second thing is the buttons on the material and the quality of the design. But it is also a kind of arbitrary image. A few instances of this image is already in dispute after the color of the interior. bose is a major manufacturer but can also be good.while if it is to be more special if there are other options.
it would be strange if the interior would be best. which is still offered ahhaaa. Some people are talking about it is not yet a top model. the CT 8 and whatever. Will there be more than the CT6 and CT7 CT8 well. It would be interesting, though, that they stand out. Cadillac has been pretty much a sedan.
some days more and make things clear

  6. I see Cadillac moved the seat switches back to the door panel. Many of you may not know but the Devilles made from 97 to 99 had the seat buttons in the same place, on the door. I think we can assume this Bose option will be available on the Platinum model. Also if u guys look real close it looks as if GM is going to use the same outside door handels as in Cadillac’s other offerings. So it seems somebody may have lost the door handle dilemma of 2012 when this car was still in early development. I think this will be the best Cadillac in recent memory and it already sounds like a tech showcase and we have only heard about a few features.

  7. I see these buttons, even in small images . buttons-buttons on the door lalalaa. But to whom should be copied when the buttons are on the seat
CT6 Cadillac is the best in history. there’s no question about it. This is the logic.

  9. Bose is NOT luxury or quality.

These things keep Cadillac a second tier brand until GM somehow learns to play with the big boys from germany.

    1. Maybe in your world, you are right. Then, go sample the rest of the “regular” consumers who buy luxury cars and you will see that they think otherwise — Bose is regarded as a very reliable, trustworthy, and quality laden maker of audio products. right there with Harmon-Kardon and (this one is funny to even say) Mark Levinson.

    2. Maybe you haven’t heard some recent Bose systems. I have a 2014 Impala 2LZ with the Premium Audio Package and the system is the best sound quality from the factory that I’ve ever heard.

      1. JP I think you partially confirmed alex’s point.
If Cadillac and the CT6 are to be taken seriously in the higher end of the luxury car market then they should not be using the same suppliers they are for Chevrolet’s.
Not that the Impala is not a good car but an expected $70000+ car shouldn’t share anything with it.

        1. A supplier is one thing. A product offered by a supplier is completely different.

          The systems are different. Entirely.

Next you will say that a Cadillac can’t wear Pirelli tires because a Camaro wears them as well. No matter that the actual tire line is different.

          Give it a break.

  11. but not mad bose system. This is one of the smallest of things but important nonetheless.
There are many important and the most important things in a new CT6. hope for the best.
Cadillac could offer a bose sound system, but also some of the most exclusive American brand and advertise it.
very clever and smart auto industry should be.

  13. The details are going to make or break this car.

Bose’s stuff always sounds great, until you turn it up. Hope this is better because I was thinking about this car’s audio system just the other day.

So far I like what I’m hearing (no pun intended). But if there’s no CD changer, that will be a crime.

  14. 4 days and counting………. It is amazing to me how people are already dissin’ the “new” Bose system that was developed just for the CT6 . And nobody has even heard the system work . I have the 5.1 surround sound system in my SRX and it is the best sound system I have ever had in a production car , and it only has 10 speakers not 34 like the new system . The CT6 isn’t going to please evrybody but it is going to be the best car that has ever been produced by GM . From its new manufacturing process to exclusive engines and now the sound system and rear mirror camera etc.. They are coming to the party dressed to the hilt and even the price range from base to premium isnt that out of line . Watch out Germans and lincoln and to some extent Lexus , this is the time where they are not looking to copy anybody but stand alone and set the standard . This is just the beginning of the story .

  15. bose system is definitely a good thing. bose system is a famous and well-known. But it’s a Cadillac model CT6. But copying. What do you think about copying mean. Is Audi BMW copies. Copies MB or BMW. Who copied who. what do you mean by thinking of copying. Are any of thinking that if you copy the look of the BMW bmw Now there is a competitor. Or, if your car is the same size as the Audi A8, then there is a competitor. Fortunately, this is not so easy.
Cadillac is copied to let anyone but whether any better or as good as the BMW-AUDI-MB.

    1. All the cars in the world are copying the very first four-wheel gas car: the Duryea made in Massachusetts in 1893. Damlier only had three-wheelers. And in many states and countries, a three-wheeler is a motorcycle, not a car. So who is not copying an American idea?
