Now, we love jet set socialite and celebrity-for-reasons-unknown Paris Hilton as much as the next true American, but when a classic Cadillac has to suffer as a result of your obsessive fandom, you’ve perhaps taken things too far.
The UK’s Daily Mail reports that a devoted fan of Paris Hilton sought out her Beverly Hills home, leaving her a gift: a classic, red Cadillac convertible. The car looks like a very nice 1960s DeVille, but nonetheless, Paris reportedly recognized the man as a superfan who has been obsessively hounding her for years, and refused to accept the Cadillac.
According to Paris Hilton, the same man came back two days later to where he had parked the Cadillac, and vindictively smashed the windows. It certainly wouldn’t be the first time this particular fan took things too far; Daily Mail reports that the same man is also believed to have flown a plane over Ms. Hilton’s place of residence with a banner reading, “Can’t Get Paris Whitney Hilton Out of My Mind.” He may also have allegedly sent her a wedding dress once.
We of course understand the gamut of seemingly lunatic emotions paramount to the human condition, but we draw a line when innocent cars are implicated. It just seems so… cruel.

The question is how did he get thru the gated community?
Maybe the security is about as stringent as Paris’ choice in partners. Show up with something big and flashy and the gates spread wide open.
Nice 66 Coupe DeVille. Too bad fate has ushered it into the hands of a raving lunatic with highly dubious taste in women.
Take the Cadillac and run the guy over with it.
