Dodge Viper Beaten By A Girl In A Corvette C6 Z06: Video

We originally saw this video over on Corvette Blogger, and just had to share: a 2014 Dodge Viper SRT gets slain in a rolling-start race by a girl driving a Chevrolet Corvette C6 Z06.

From the factory, the 2014 Dodge Viper SRT has 640 horsepower, to the Corvette Z06’s 505, so chances are that this Z06 has been modified. That’s not to diminish the accomplishments of the female Corvette driver; we’re just being realistic about the capabilities of the stock car.

We can only imagine the onslaught of sexist sentiments that this video will inevitably spawn from the male-dominated pool of motoring enthusiasts. Frankly, we don’t see how it matters that this Corvette Z06 was driven by a girl – or more precisely, young woman.

But we won’t try and dissuade the driver of the 2014 Dodge Viper SRT from committing seppuku with a sharpened camshaft out of shame.

Toward the end of the video, you can see the hood on the Corvette Z06 start to pop up on the driver’s side as it reaches the end of the runway. Looks like they almost lost it there.
