There are a number of coachbuilding companies in the United States that will take your standard four door sedan and transform it into the open-top cruiser you always wished it was. Not every car was meant to be turned into a convertible, but we think this 2004 Cadillac DeVille sedan found for sale on eBay wears the ragtop pretty well.
The auction has since ended with the seller’s $14,995 asking price not being met after 3 offers. The full-size sedan has relatively low mileage, having travelled just 82,000 miles, and its Pearl White exterior appears to be in near-perfect condition. The interior is less well taken of and the additional exposure to the elements from the convertible top appears to have taken a toll on the white leather.
$15,000 is too much for a DeVille DTS of this year whether it has a convertible top or not. We have our doubts that very many people will pay extra for the ragtop conversion, as some may not trust its overall quality and would rather own a standard hardtop version of the car. Would you buy a coachbuilt convertible conversion such as this? Check out the ad here and let us know in the comments.

Hell no I would not buy it, not for that price. And the car is 11 years old going on 12. And the top of this car looks clumsy and does not make the car look great anyway. No thanks!
I think its Hot!!!!!!!! drop top Lac.. I would buy if I had an abundance of cash just because i always wanted a drop top big body Lac and they dont make em any more.. Oh wait never mind has the Bar in the middle I hate that bar in middle Ive seen it with the entire roof missing I think it cost more that way though
Interesting piece of work here and BTW the bar across it is there for structure. Unibody has just a subframe up front to carry components. Otherwise it would flex and wallow and shimmy(what else) because it lost the support of the roof structure.
No there’s another Florida based company that does it without the Bar on top I assume reinforcing the car at certain areas at the bottom.
The top and interior are shale not white
This car would have enough cowl shake that you would be able to see the steering wheel move up an down as you hit the bumps.
First off it is not worth the money just because of the car it is based on. We just unloaded one of these with pleasure. It had many electrical issues and the N stars are good for many issues too.
There are too many good convertible out there to waste any money on this one.
The car was worth more when it had a roof. It also drove and handled better, and had subtlety.
Whitewalls are tragically unsophisticated and make the car look very, VERY dated.
