Cadillac LTS To Be In Dealerships Next Year

We can expect a few things from the upcoming Cadillac flagship. To recap, here are a few:

Recently, in an Edmunds.com report, we are reminded that the 2016 Cadillac LTS will be for sale by the end of next year.

“We are in development of a top-of-the-range car for Cadillac. It is a new architecture, rear-wheel drive, and, of course, all-wheel drive will be offered. It will launch in the 2015 calendar year,” revealed Cadillac spokeshuman David Caldwell. When we will actually see it, however, seems to be anyone’s guess.

  1. In before the piss and moan brigade complains about how its “just going to be a bigger CTS” and “its not named Eldorado or Fleetwood so it sucks”

  2. We are still in limbo and thus the waiting game continues, oh well. Maybe someday soon.

  3. I am going to make a safe bet that this car will be revealed a year from now at Pepple Beach in ’15. Seems like a long time but a year will get here before we know it.

  4. I am really hoping GM ( Cadillac ) can deliver on the ” LTS ” . The future of the Cadillac name is on the line because of all the hype on this vehicle . Its going to be priced at a point that middle America won’t be able to afford it , and then there is the crowd that will buy it just because it is something new . But I guess that is what Chevy is for . Look at what is happening to the ELR , 800 sold so far ! And Cadillac dealerships are waiting for delivery on the Escalade because the factory won’t cut them loose till they are completely gone over for defects . I’m sure the assembly plant has built test mules on line to find problems in the build process . I’m beginning to wonder if engineering isn’t satisfied with what it sees coming off the line . The ELR is over priced thats why they are not selling , the Escalade was probably rushed to market before all the bugs were identified and fixed , and now a $85g -100g (est) car to do battle with an S-class ? Hope its a push button start , and we know why !! Time will tell . JMOP.

  5. Cadillac never really had a problem selling Escalades at $71K and up. Recalls and production delays notwithstanding, the demand is there.

A full-size car at $75-80K shouldn’t be beyond them. It just needs to look, feel, and be an exceptional car.

  6. Will we see the car sooner at a show but the car will be released at Pebble Beach? It will be a 2016 and production should be started by then. If that is still the Model year?

  7. The tech this vehicle will display is perhaps the most critical apect of this car! What will GM introduce that the Germans or Japanese haven’t already invented for their products? So far, everything expected for the LTS, as mentioned above and elsewhere, is already available to one degree or another. I’m positive this car will be great, but will it be innovative?
