We wish this were a video of a bone-stock Corvette C7 kicking butts and taking names of a number of exotic cars that cost many times more than it, but it is not. In the C7’s defense, even though these exotics may cost two or more times more than it, that doesn’t mean you’re getting two or more times the performance, as the video below reveals.
Shot at Mid-America Motorplex in Pacific Junction, Iowa, the video shows a new Corvette C7 Stingray competing in a number of acceleration runs against some of the most popular exotics available. You may be surprised by how well the Corvette holds up next to a Ferrari F430 or Porsche 911 Turbo.
With a base price of $53,000, it’s hard to argue with the Corvette’s performance/value equation. Plus, with the cash you save, you can invest in tuning your Corvette to beat just about any exotic car. Or buying a C7 Z06 for roughly $80,000. But that’s a different story.

Why don’t they try out these exotics against the new Z06. One thing for sure, the 2015 Z06 won’t be seeing none of they tail lights like the Stingray did.
I love the Corvette Stingray since I built a scare model in 1963. But I am a practical man and I need to carry people and cargo. A tuned Cadillac SRX wagon may be the perfect sleeper!
