When we first laid eyes on this 1970-something Cadillac project found by Jalopnik on Google Street View, we thought for sure it was the workings of some ex-Elvis Presley impersonator in Las Vegas who had given up on the build and left it to rot under the scorching Nevada sun. It turns out that despite the distinctly American vibe it’s giving off, this confusing Cadillac is located in France between the coastal towns of Cagnes-sur-Mer and Antibes, making the whole thing that much more strange.
According to Cadillac Database, the car was actually created by famed Hollywood car collector and builder Jay Ohrberg. It started out life as a 1969 El Dorado before being converted into a pink guitar. It allegedly attended the Cannes film festival under its own power at some point and we’re assuming it just never made the voyage back over to the United States, hence why it’s left rotting in a junk yard.
We can’t see anyone bothering to disassemble the thing and ship it back over to the US, which is kind of a shame. Maybe Ohrberg will see this and go pick up his old creation for himself, that’s if there’s anything left to it now. Check  the crazy Cadillac for yourself on Street View here.

looks like a piece of junk. let it sit there.
This place used to be a restaurant. I was there in 2001 and the Cadillac was on the roof of the building together with some strange other cars that have since disappeared. I have pictures of all of them but can’t attach these here which is a shame…
