D3 Cadillac, the officially licensed tuner for General Motors’ Cadillac brand, recently attended MFest, a weekend-long event directed mainly at BMW owners and enthusiasts. Cadillac is looking to go head to head with BMW, so they partnered up with D3 to compete in the Cadillac Challenge race held at Las Vegas Motor Speedway during MFest, showing the Bimmer guys the Caddys can keep up on the road course, too.
The Cadillac Challenge is a time attack-style race series which sees multiple vehicles race on the track at the same time except instead of racing for position, they are looking to beat one another on the clock by setting the fastest lap time. This year, a crowd of BMW enthusiast looked on as D3 Cadillac set three of the fastest laps of the day around the road course at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, including the fastest overall time.
In addition to competing in the time attack, D3 also showed off some of its new and upcoming products at MFest. D3 recently earned the title of Officially Licensed Cadillac Partner, and will soon be selling official tuning products through Cadillacstore.com. They also touted their latest and most up-to-date tuning projects for the high performance V-Series cars, as well as for the ATS Coupe and CTS Vsport.
D3 says all joking and teasing between enthusiasts of rival brands aside, the BMW crowd was welcoming and friendly and showed a genuine interest in what D3 had brought out to the show. D3 provided us with a short clip of the Cadillac Challenge race, its not much, but it gives you an idea of what the event was like and allows you to briefly hear the roar of D3’s CTS-V.
