Chevrolet Showcases Its Performance Car Lineup: Video

Chevrolet has been America’s best-selling performance brand for four consecutive years, due heavily in part to the depth and variety of its performance car lineup. This year, with the introduction of the 625 horsepower Corvette Z06 and Z06 Convertible, the lineup has grown to include 14 vehicles.

The 14 vehicles include both coupe and convertible variants of the Corvette Stingray and Corvette Z06, coupe and convertible variants of the Camaro LS/LT, Camaro SS and Camaro ZL1, the track-focused Camaro Z/28 and Camaro 1LE, the limited-run COPO Camaro and the Australian-made SS sedan. These vehicles represent a large gap in performance with outputs ranging from 326 horsepower to the Z06’s estimated 625 ponies.

Chevy provides a quick rundown of their 14 distinct performance models in the video below. Check it out and let us know in the comments which one is your favorite and where you think there is some room for improvement.

  1. I have always wanted a Camaro 2LT RS, but the new C7 Stingray is amazing!

  2. My last Chevy was a LT1 Caprice; I got rid of it after 17 years because it needed some work — paint and oil leaks mostly — and settled for an used Accord just to please the wife. She knows I don’t like it and I rub it in every chance I can, so now I’m looking for something and get it paid for before I retire. I like the SS sedan, but if a given feature doesn’t make a car perform better or get better mileage, then I’m not interested, so having to pay for stuff I don’t want or need is a show-stopper; i.e. leather seating, self-parking, home-link, etc. I don’t feel that I’m a “Corvette-person”. So I’ll take a 1SS with 1LE and no other options.
