Standard & Poor’s Lift GM’s Credit Outlook From “Stable” To “Positive”

As General Motors posted impressive sales numbers for the month of August, credit ratings company Standard & Poor’s bumped up the company’s credit outlook to positive from stable, as the automaker continues to beat estimates. It’s also another bracket upwards, and just below S & P’s coveted “investment grade” status. Speaking of which, Ford was given the honor from the ratings company.
