Spy photographers have captured a brilliantly red and refreshed Opel Insignia OPC Sports Tourer outside of an Opel facility in Germany before its official debut at the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show. Found on Autoblog, the refresh is mild, but it doesn’t change the fact that it’s a performance all-wheel-drive wagon we’re staring at.
The biggest mystery here is whether or not the Insignia OPC Tourer will retain its 2.8-liter turbocharged V6 punching 325 horsepower or if something else will be in store, and if it will continue to offer both manual and automatic transmissions.

Can we say Buick…….. 🙂
I’m hoping for a rumoured 400BHP power plant!
I would love to see this engine here.
But we will never get the wagon. They are just such a hard sell here. The enthusiast cry for them but even out of them only a small percentage would ever buy one. The CUV market here is just so entrenched.
The other issue is how much would it cost here. The past OPC models were very expensive in Europe and would cost more than a ATS and even a CTS here.
I speak as a HHR SS owner as it is as close to a performance wagon they have offered here other than the rare CTSV wagon. I love my wagon but have no idea what I would replace it with when the time comes. Note I am not so much an HHR fan I just love the way it handles, drives and can haul a load.
