We’ll consider this a Labor Day present. The highly anticipated Cadillac ATS is still more or less shrouded in mystery, though we have been presented with some unofficial expectations. So without further ado, enjoy the video below, featuring GM North American President Mark Reuss (making a fashion statement with his Oakley shades) and several key ATS engineers.

Well, this looks very promising. Although I could never understand the people who wear those shades Mr. Reuss is sporting…
OSHA requirement all gm employes must wear shades because the future looks so bright.
Hah! Nice! But they could have less horrendous shades 🙂
Stop the video at 1:01 and get a better look at the interior, assuming that’s the ATS ‘s interior. I think that’s a panoramic sunroof up top or a big regular sunroof.
Good eye, Babersher. I, for one, like what I see in that overhead light and sunroof control area — looks a lot better than the analogous area in my Cruze (as it should)!
i like how they carried the door know from the SRX to this car
Good eye, I didn’t notice until you pointed it out.
I bet that it makes one sweet wagon 🙂
Hum… Mark Russ and the engineers sure talk a good game here. That’s a lot to live up to.
At about 17 seconds into the video, we get a picture that looks like it’s taken from inside looking out of the rear window. However, that rear window has a windshield wiper in the center or something that looks like it. Plus it looks like there are some serious embedded defroster elements (or something that looks like that). Is this an ATS wagon tester? Maybe it’s just an optical illusion.
I’m sure Cadillac would do a tourer for the European market if they plan on fighting BMW and Mercedes on their home turf.
i’ve wonder if they did some weight reduction on this car.
If you look at 00:20 to 00:21 you can see Ruess shifting gears on a manuel tranny.
