“They are trying like hell to resurrect Lincoln. Well, I might as well tell you, you might as well sprinkle holy water. It’s over,” GM CEO Dan Akerson told the Detroit News.
Considering Lincoln’s current product portfolio and its difficulties reinventing itself, Akerson may be right. But is he out of line? This isn’t the first time he’s dissed a competitor. Let us know what you think about his latest serving of trash talk in the comments below.

It’s almost like Akerson wants to sould Luz-afied. Is he really like that or is he just putting on the swager for the press. As immature and provicitive as his words are I have to agree with him, Lincoln has the machinery to take on Accura, but not the image. God help GM if Lincoln decides to go the American Mercedies or worse American Audi route, they have a fine five liter with a proper DOHC layout, Maybee the nex-gen Falcon will have a Lincoln varient. Lincoln needs to bring some style to the game as well, maybee the Rolls Royce style Parthanan grill will make a return.
Geez, run spell check dude.
Do you ever hear Mullaly dissing GMC or laughing at GM profits compared to Ford Profits(6.6 Billion). He’s a CEO not a Reality T.V Show host, be professional.
However if Lincoln doesn’t bring some big change fast, then he’s absolutely correct.
