Individual model sales performance was as follows:
- Buick Enclave sales decreased 18.05 percent to 654 units
- Buick Encore sales decreased 7.45 percent to 2,930 units
- Buick Envision sales decreased 8.96 percent to 813 units
- Buick LaCrosse sales decreased 47.73 percent to 104 units
- The vehicle is being discontinued
- Buick Regal sales increased 181.21 percent to 419 units
- Buick Verano sales totaled 1 units
- The vehicle was manufactured until the 2017 model year
- Buick does not market the Cascada in Canada
During the first six months of the 2019 calendar year, Buick Canada sales decreased 1 percent to 8,494 units.

The GM Authority Take
Buick Canada sales decreased during the second quarter of 2019, with four of the brand’s five models seeing decreases compared to the same time period in 2018. Buick’s three utilities all saw a negative performance, both during the quarter and in the first six months of 2019. Meanwhile, the LaCrosse – which is in the process of being discontinued – suffered the biggest drop of all Buick Canada models.
The only Buick model to post an uptick in sales volume in Canada during Q2 was the Regal, whose sales tripled on a year-over-year basis. The increase marks a noteworthy contrast with the declines suffered by the Tri-Shield brand’s other models. It’s important to note that GM Canada only offers the Buick Regal Sportback in Canada, with the TourX ruggedized wagon not available in the country.
Curiously, Buick managed to deliver a single unit of the Verano during the second quarter. The premium compact sedan ceased production for the North American market years ago, ending production during the 2017 model year.
