General Motors is expanding its personal mobility brand to offer even greater flexibility for its members. GM’s Maven will launch “Maven Reserve” in Los Angeles and San Francisco, which will allow members to reserve vehicles for 28 days at a time.
The expansion of the Maven service also allows pricing to be viewed in real time through the Maven app, with options to reserve a vehicle by the hour, by day, or now, by the month. The experience also comes with a reserved parking spot for the vehicle, $100 worth of gas and insurance are all included with the reservation.
As usual, no membership or application fee is associated with Maven.
At launch, Maven Reserve will be available in Los Angeles and San Francisco, California. Maven states this decision was based upon early data in Southern California, which showed LA and SF Maven members held onto their vehicles longer than in any other market Maven resides in.
The first two vehicles available at the launch of Maven Reserve will be the Chevrolet Tahoe and Chevrolet Volt, chosen to meet the needs and wants of members.
Maven has seen a massive growth in Los Angeles and San Francisco since its launch last year; membership grew by 56 percent in LA and 31 percent in San Francisco since September of last year.
