2018 GMC Terrain Teases Headlight Design Just Before Debut

This will likely be our last teaser (nope, there is one more) before the real thing, because there’s honestly not that much left to tease. Still left to the imagination are the grille and taillights, but… hopefully you all have a pretty good visual by now. Because now we know what the headlights look like.

For the full thing, stay tuned at 6:45 PM, Eastern Time, for GMC to pull the sheet off its latest product, according to the brand’s Facebook page.

What’s becoming a signature mark is the “C” shape in the LED headlamps that started with the 2016 GMC Sierra, and followed with the 2017 Acadia. Now it appears the 2018 GMC Terrain will join the modern design language. Remember, everybody, where one headlight is shaped like the letter “C,” there’s another one that’s going to be backwards. What letter is that?

  2. Interesting headlamp arrangement. The more they reveal the more intrigued I become. GMC is definitely pulling away from the gussied up Chevy image, hopefully they have applied the same thinking to the interior.

  3. I am getting tired of the over stated LED Lights.

The new Ford F-250 is the worst but others are closing in.

LED is fine but use it wisely.

  4. I’m a sucker for teasing. Just wish she’d show a little thigh is all I’m saying.

  5. I don’t know about you guys, but I was more than satisfied just looking at that exhaust tip teaser. Although, now that I think of it, I’m not sure what letter it’s supposed to be either…

  6. It looks like a Buick headlight. It is logical to coordinate design given how many showrooms that the two brands share.
I still think, with a floating roof, that this Terrain is headed for Opel. Europe needs to fill that old Captiva space and the PSA Grandland X will fall short.

  7. Worst part of the design and in second place a tie between the mother of all pie holes grille and the stupid shifter.

    1. Where is the shifter?

  8. GM needs to take the lead and be the 1st automobile manufacturer to move ALL vehicles to LED/ latest technology headlighting. I’m soooo tired of GM always playing “catch-up” to the European and Asian manufacturers…..
