Chevrolet says the Trax Activ is all about fun adventure. The popular small crossover for city dwellers is looking for a breath of fresh air with a handful of soft-roading cues beckoning the outdoor lifestyle.
The Trax Activ concept starts with the regular Chevrolet Trax AWD, but received a custom lift kit and widened track, along with a revised front and rear fascias. All-terrain tires and concept, 18-inch wheels help provide added ruggedness to the soft-roader, too. Custom fender flares also help beef up its off-road stance.
Even if it’s not going to be running with the big boys, the Trax Activ is no slouch. It comes equipped with Thule roof basket to enhance the cargo capability and a custom LED light bar mounted to illuminate dark trails. Of course, there are red tow hooks, too. Just in case.
The exterior is finished in a custom Satin Sandstorm color, while Carbon Flash rockers and flares provide just the right amount of contrast.
“The Trax Activ concept is all about adventurous fun,” said Todd Parker, design director, exterior component and accessories. “We’ve increased its capability and matched it with styling enhancements that give it an all-new attitude ― it’s a Trax that’s ready to make tracks.”
