Cruise Automation Is Testing Self-Driving 2017 Chevrolet Bolt EVs In Arizona

Cruise Automation, now GM Cruise LLC, has confirmed its intent to produce a fully autonomous 2017 Chevrolet Bolt EV. We know the company, now wholly owned by General Motors, has been testing Bolt EVs in San Francisco since May, but it has confirmed its prototypes are now in Scottsdale, Arizona.

A tweet by Cruise Automation stated the 2017 Bolt EVs latest proving grounds and also supplied the fresh photo seen above.

GM’s intents are not fully known on what it plans to do with its autonomous Bolt EVs, but its deepening ties with ride-sharing service Lyft and the launch of its personal mobility brand Maven give us some excellent clues as to where you may find a self-driving Chevy sooner, rather than later.
