The 2017 Opel Meriva will be cut from the cloth that was the General Motors-PSA Peugeot Citroen alliance, despite the partnership falling out years ago.
However, the 2017 Meriva will remain one of the few vehicles given the go-ahead after the alliance’s end. And here AutoEvolution has spied the vehicle sitting outside Opel’s Russelheim headquarters.
The Meriva has long retained its multi-purpose vehicle attributes, but this time, Opel and PSA will attempt to inject some crossover feel to the MPV. That means its reverse-opening doors are gone, the ride height is slightly taller and a boxier, more rugged look.
Its final design is still very much a mystery since Opel has been generous with the camouflage even in these latest sightings, but the third-generation of Meriva is certainly well on its way.
