We’ve seen all sorts of Chevy K5 Blazers, shoot, a quick eBay search will give you a whole range from customized beauties costing $50,000 all the down to rusted out clunkers for a mere $3,500. If we were to pick a K5 Blazer for ourselves, though, it’d be hard to not go with the one-off 1969 Chevrolet K5 Blazer ICON Reformer we see here. We’re not sure where it falls price wise (the higher end, no doubt), but as far as looks, quality, and performance, the K5 Blazer ICON Reformer is an all around winner.
Let’s start with what’s under the hood – a 6.2 liter LS3 V8, because why settle for less? The exterior of this truck has the perfect look; the paint color, the wheels, the trim, it all works so well together. The interior is just as impressive, with a retrofitted gauge cluster and instrumental panel, all done by hand. The black leather accenting is a nice touch, but our favorite in-the-cabin feature would have to be the built-in sound system. Attention to detail was a main focal point in this restoration process, to be sure.
“Clean” is a word you’ll hear overused way to much in the car-world, but this K5 Blazer ICON Reformer is the perfect example of a clean truck.
