Global Cadillac Sales Up 16.9 Percent To 23,214 Units In November 2015

Global sales of Cadillac vehicles totaled 23,214 units in November 2015, a 16.9 percent increase on a year-over-year basis. In addition, sales of the prestige luxury automotive brand are up 5.6 percent for the first 11 months of the year to 245,572 units.

“Approaching the year-end period, Cadillac’s increasing product substance and disciplined growth strategies are building momentum,” said Cadillac President Johan de Nysschen. “In the U.S. market we are commanding higher transaction prices, with lower incentive and inventory levels. It means the customer is recognizing and placing a higher value on the excellence of the new generation of products from Cadillac. This is a strong foundation for our upcoming expansion in 2016.”

November 2015 worldwide sales summary by model (vs. November 2014, unless otherwise noted):

  1. The sales increase of the ATS may be due to the ATS-L sold only in China . For ’16 CTS sales will remain flat , its time for a mid cycle refresh to help out . Higher TAP’s are a good thing but remember Johan that to decrease your inventory levels of both ATS and CTS you had too reduce output at the factory . The XT5 will be well recieved by the old SRX crowd so sales will increase from the levels now . The XTS may even see a slight bump in sales with the redesigned front clip . But the huge money maker the Escalade for some reason isn’t seeing the growth that you would expect with gas prices at under 2 bucks a gallon . That isn’t good news . Especially with other high end monikers starting to sell in that segment . It’s a good thing the CT6 is coming to market soon .

    1. ATS sales are not soley due ATS-L sales in China. The ATS is slowly gaining acceptance in all markets and will continue to do so.
JdN set out to reduce inventories and make them more in line with market demand. He would like to create a ‘Pull’ production/distribution structure versus a ‘Push’ one.

The XT5 will not only appeal to existing SRX customers but also lead to conquest sales.

I do not see any appeciable increase in XTS sales as the CT6 will be out next summer and the sedan segment is getting heavy pressure from the crossover segment.

Escalade will be fine. It will get its first advertising campaign starting this month so this month should increase over December 2014.
