Buick’s surprise sales success is due for updated looks, and it seems we’re not too far away from seeing it’s new face. AutoGuide has snapped a few photos of the 2016 Buick Encore with some major camouflage up front. This refresh should also apply to its Vauxhall, Opel and Holden cousins abroad.
As AutoGuide mentions, it’s not entirely clear what’s going on up front, but a new grille seems to be part of the equation. The refresh should allow the 2016 Buick Encore to come off as slightly more edgy, and less bulky in the front, and rear. Expect a sharper front bumper, too.
The rear lacks any sort of camouflage in these photos, but we’d assume a refreshed set of taillights, and a spruced up rear bumper will round out the entire design.
Less clear is the interior, which may receive a few a strokes to update the cockpit. That includes a new generation of Buick’s infotainment unit, which is beginning to feel laggy in comparison to other Buick vehicles.
A 1.0-liter turbocharged three-cylinder may also find its way under the hood as an optional powerplant. You can see the spy photos by following the link here.
