Chevrolet has had quite the comeback kid in form of the fifth-generation Chevrolet Camaro, with the bowtie brand poised to deliver its 500,000th fifth-gen iteration this month. The brand is quite proud of this, and in turn, celebrated with a quick promotional video featuring the mighty Z/28 doing its thing on a road course.
Except, there’s more to it than some flashy show shots of the current Camaro clipping apexes and doing doughnuts. If you stay tuned until the end, you’re in for a treat because not only is this the first time we’ve seen the car in motion officially, but we also get to hear the sixth-generation, Alpha-based 2016 Chevrolet Camaro.
And there’s no mistaking that noise for anything other than a mighty LT1 V8 under the hood. The all-new 2016 Camaro sounds a tad more snarly than what we’re used to hearing, but we like what we hear. Now we want to like what we see.
It’s rumored the 2016 Chevrolet Camaro may show face around the time frame of the Indy 500 this May, but with this teaser, hopefully the car is right around the corner.
