Images of the Vauxhall Corsa E VXR have leaked online ahead of the hot hatchback’s official debut later this year. We shared a leaked, low-quality image of the Opel Corsa E OPC variant last year, however we were unable to confirm the validity of the photo at that time. This latest round of pictures, which appear to be official press photos from Vauxhall, confirm the previously leaked photo was indeed legitimate.
Official specs on the Corsa VXR didn’t leak along with the photos, however rumors suggest the car will be powered by a 210 horsepower version of Opel’s 1.6-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine. Drive will likely be sent to the front wheels through a six-speed manual transmisison, while a rumored limited-slip differential should ensure the power is distributed between the two wheels evenly.
Additional changes we can see from the photos include a reworked front fascia, a new intake vent which sits just aloft of the grille, new OPC wheels, dual exhausts and a rear hatch spoiler.
Stay tuned to as more info on the latest addition to Opel/Vauxhall’s performance lineup becomes available.
