Corsa has unveiled a new aftermarket exhaust upgrade for the Cadillac CT4-V Blackwing, giving owners of this high-performance sedan the chance to enhance their car’s sound profile. Numerous options are available, including an array of tip designs and different piping configurations. A new video demonstration highlights the system’s aural impact, comparing it to the stock exhaust setup and offering insight into the sound differences.
The video showcases the Cadillac CT4-V Blackwing in four configurations: the stock exhaust with valves closed, the stock exhaust with valves open, the Corsa exhaust with valves closed, and the Corsa exhaust with valves open. Each configuration is tested with the car idling, revving, and accelerating, providing a full spectrum of sound dynamics.
As expected, the Corsa exhaust produces a deeper, more aggressive tone compared to the stock system, as can be heard right here:
Corsa offers several configurations for the CT4-V Blackwing exhaust, including axle-back and cat-back systems. Both options allow for further customization with a variety of tip finishes, including polished, black chrome, and carbon, as well as rounded tip designs in slash or straight-cut styles. Pricing starts at $2,499 for the axle-back system and $2,899 for the cat-back system, as listed on the Tapout Tuning website.
While the video does not provide information about potential performance gains, the new exhaust system primarily emphasizes sound quality, giving enthusiasts a way to personalize their Blackwing as desired. The added styling options also provide owners with a little extra custom aethetics around the rear of their performance luxury sedan.
For readers who may be unaware, the Cadillac CT4-V Blackwing is powered by the twin-turbocharged 3.6L V6 LF4 gasoline engine. Straight from the factory, this V6 delivers 472 horsepower and 445 pound-feet of torque, propelling the CT4-V Blackwing from 0 to 60 mph in less than four seconds. Built on GM’s Alpha 2 platform, the CT4-V Blackwing is produced alongside its non-Blackwing siblings at the GM Lansing Grand River Assembly Plant in Michigan.

Too loud and disturbing for others.. Why would any yahoo want all that noise disturbing his neighbours and other people? They want attention, and Low self-esteem .. probably producing more CO2 too if the CATs are altered causing more harm to people. Make more EVs and hybrids, less noise pollution, less exhaust fumes and all that harmful nonsense. It’s 2024. It’s just so inconsiderate and totally unnecessary.
On a 6 cylinder, I agree. On a V8? I’ll take it.
You ever go to races, car shows, or just hear a V8 drive by on the street and think, “Man that sounds fantastic?” I do and a lot of people do. It’s fun. Why do you people want to make everything boring, unexciting, and sterile? If you want quiet and boring just buy your EV, and let us do our thing.
It’s 2024. We should have more choices than ever, not trying to force everyone into the same boxes. Why are so you anti-freedom?
SanFran dude must have converted his Steely Dan to full EV…..
Funny how you just know when something is trying to be something it’s not….
I have a CT4 Blackwing, and based on the video, I like the Cora with vales closed but the stock with valves open. I’ll save my money and keep it stock, sounds great stock to me….but this type of thing is personal preference.
And to the guy at the top of the thread, what are doing on a car site? My exhaust is set to wide open every morning on cold start in the Des Moines suburbs, suck it neighbors, I didn’t buy the car to be demure!
I’d have to say- based on my ears- I like the stock open valve sound the best. Everyone’s mileage may vary.
Looks cheap with those two mufflers hanging down not covered by the factory diffuser like the factory suitcase is (mostly).
Stock with open valves sounds the best imho.
Something about making a Caddy louder just doesn’t sound right to this old timer.
I replaced the exhaust systems on my cars as they rot off. Sometimes I just go to my favorite muffler shop and only replace the damaged part.
I drive an Elantra N. ( yes, a hyundai, whatever, not the point ) and if I could have this instead I obviously would. Anyway, I’m just stopping by to say, I LOVE the crackles!
