The Chevrolet Impala will be making its way to Sin City, albeit a tad darker and meaner looking. Debuting at the 2014 SEMA show, The Chevrolet Impala Blackout Concept builds on the tasteful styling, and adds a healthy dose of, well as the name suggests, black.
Every accessory shown on the Impala Blackout Concept is available from Chevrolet. The basic, but very handsome look starts with the deep black exterior paintwork. A black grille surround has been added, as well as painted mirror covers which, you guessed it, are black. Black and aluminum wheels add the right amount of contrast to the concept, and a black Chevrolet bow tie gussies up the Impala just enough. Like James Bond before a hand at poker.
The interior is also blacked out, and completely leather trimmed with custom plates, sport pedal kit, and wire mesh pattern stainless steel sills. The Impala Blackout is also outfitted with the 11-speaker Bose Surround Sound System, featuring Chevrolet MyLink.
The Impala Blackout Concept features the available 3.6L, 305 horsepower LFX V6, providing just enough grunt to match the lunar looks.
Watch for the Impala Blackout Concept next month at the SEMA show in Las Vegas.

Where is the twin turbo V6 awd? That would look great with the blackout treatment.
This needs to do the Auto Show circuit too….bet there would be lots of demand as a model or RPO
Such a good looking car. Just SUCKS that its front wheel drive. Rear/All should be the norm. At LEAST all as an option to ‘fix’ the front problem.
Love the car hate the wheels.
I think too many for forget that we have a car called the SS and it will also be back in a Alpha platform around 2017-18.
If you add AWD and a TT V6 to this car it would cost more then the SS does now. While it would be neat to do the cost factor would be a bit much for market segment you already have well covered. Now if there was no SS then it might be a consideration.
But take the LTZ ands add $8,000 to the price of it and then account for how many people would pay the price. It just does not add up. This a great car but not that great of a car to attract enough sales at that price. Most would default to the SS.
The next Lacrosse will fill the AWD and more power need in the next gen.
Scott, if they do the SS on the Alpha platform, that would be a huge seller. Might even get the old timers like me who are finally ready to admit that a Corvette doesn’t make sense any more! The current SS is still a bargain, and I saw Kerbeck discounting 2 of the 2014 model for just over 37k. Tempting.
The new Alpha SS will be a restyled but for the most a mechanically a 4 door Camaro. This will help leverage out the Alpha even more.
It is a beautiful car and I agree with previous comments. Hope Chevy considers them….
