A super low-mile example of a modern classic in GM muscle cars is up for grabs. It’s a 2014 Chevy Camaro Z/28 with only 55 miles on the clock located in Pompano Beach, Florida. It’s available via a Bring a Trailer auction that ends on Wednesday, December 11th, and the high bid as of this writing is $58,000.
The fifth-generation Chevy Camaro Z/28 launched for the 2014 model year as a stripped-down and track-focused variant of the muscle car. Power came from the 7.0L V8 LS7, which made 505 horsepower and 481 pound-feet of torque. Although not the most powerful fifth-generation Camaro, the Z/28 is the most valuable. The ZL1 had a higher output with its supercharged 6.2L LSA V8, rated at 580 horsepower and 556 pound-feet of torque, but it’s changing hands at lower prices since it’s not as rare as the Z/28, of which there are only 509 examples.
On Bring a Trailer alone, there are several examples in recent years of high-dollar fifth-gen Z/28 models that have barely been driven. A 23-mile 2015 model sold for $81,500 in March 2023, a 125-mile 2015 model went for $68,500 in August 2024, and more recently, in October 2024, an 804-mile 2015 model changed hands for $74,000. Given those recent results, it’s reasonable to estimate that the one you see here with its two-digit odometer reading will sell for more than its original sticker price of $76,150.
Like many of these Camaro Z/28 models from this era, this one is optioned with the Air Conditioning and Speaker Package ($1,150). It’s finished in Summit White with a Black interior and wears the sole wheel option on the Z/28, 19-inch black forged aluminum wheels.
Other track-focused upgrades that make the fifth-generation Camaro Z/28 a desirable performance car include a Tremec 6-speed manual transmission, a limited-slip differential, Brembo carbon ceramic brakes, Recaro seats, and an aerodynamic body kit. Another highlight was a unique suspension system with a Dynamic Suspensions Spool Valve (DSSV) damper at each corner, which made it one of the first production vehicles to feature the technology.
If you want a good bargain in used Camaros, we recommend shopping for an SS or ZL1. However, if you want a unique piece of modern GM muscle car history, there’s nothing quite like the fifth-gen Chevy Camaro Z/28.
