Throw away everything you thought you knew about the 1967 Chevrolet Camaro, because this incredible SEMA show car available on eBay rewrites this car’s history.
Dubbed the Ultimate Sixty Seven, this design concept certainly lives up to its name. As the seller states, the car “blends Italian supercar styling with classic American muscle.” Big Vellano VKS wheels, unique front and rear end treatments, and a deep coat of “Ruthless Red” paint give this pony car a look like no other 1967 Camaro we’ve seen.
If the exterior of this show car makes your heart skip a beat, then its interior will likely stop your heart from beating entirely. Starting “with a 2013 [Camaro] steering wheel,center console, dashboard, and front seats,” the team responsible for crafting this machine then, “hand fabricated the rest of the panels to mimic the look of the 2013 Camaro but fit the [1967] Camaro proportions.” That’s right, this classic Camaro has a fully modern Camaro interior.
Underhood is a similar story. A modern supercharged LS9 works with a Tremec T-56 manual transmission to bring this custom Camaro to speed fast. The seller doesn’t mention horsepower, but a guesstimate of over 600 horses seems reasonable.
Of course, all of this awesomeness will cost you, as the Ultimate Sixty Seven has a “Buy It Now” price of $295,000, though the seller is accepting offers. Located in Orlando, Fla. this Camaro’s price of more than a quarter-million dollars certainly isn’t cheap, but we’d guess trying to make this car yourself would cost a great deal more.

$295,000 for something that makes less HP than the stuff the Roadkill guys throw together in a week for $10,000? Yeah, how about no.
This is not some $10,000 jalopy. The engine alone will set you back $20,000+ if it’s a GM crate LS9 (no reason why it shouldn’t make in the neighborhood of 638 horsepower, either).
Even if you don’t like all of the details, which I don’t, a sane man can still see this car is a work of art.
I don’t think they’ll get their price, but I have seen lesser cars go for over $150,000.
If you don’t like classic cars, well, go give Mom’s Malibu a big hug. Just stop with the stupid horsepower crap.
I love classic cars, especially Camaros, but $300,000 for a Camaro that looks like an extra from a Fast and Furious move, and makes less horsepower than a modern stock Corvette?
NO, JUST NO.
It is pricey, I can’t argue with you there. And not really for me either. But it’s art. Just compare it to the blue pro touring ’69 on this page.
