Watch A FWD Chevy Malibu Do Donuts Around A Dodge Challenger: Video

The last thing anyone would expect would be a front-wheel drive Chevy Malibu running rings around a Dodge Challenger – unless, of course, the Malibu is powered by lunch trays. Now, it looks like that’s exactly what’s going on in the following viral video.

Recently posted to social media, the video is just a few seconds long, and appears as though it was captured in some backlot loading dock.

A Chevy Malibu slides around a Dodge Challenger.

The video shows an excited group of people gathered around an orange Dodge Challenger as a white Chevy Malibu slides by. The Malibu looks to be in rental car-spec, with white paint and silver wheels – certainly a relatively innocuous vehicle in which to derive some horsepower-driven kicks. However, the driver appears to have an ace up their sleeve, locking the rear wheels over a set of lunch trays to get the tail end of the sedan to kick out.

Although it’s not entirely clear, that certainly appears to be the trick in play here. As the Chevy Malibu circles around the Dodge Challenger, the Chevy’s rear end slides around effortlessly, mimicking the movement of a rear-wheel drive vehicle performing a donut. The ground is wet as well, which likely helps a good deal in getting the rear end to step out.

The Dodge Challenger parks it as the white Chevy Malibu circles around. Onlookers rush towards the sedan, phones in hand to capture the scene. While we certainly don’t condone this illegal and dangerous behavior, we can at least acknowledge that it’s in some backlot loading dock, rather than on a public street or blocked-off intersection.

Of course, we’ve seen plenty of instances of rear-wheel drive vehicles attempting to burn some rubber and show off, only to crash in dramatic fashion. Whether it’s a Pontiac GTO rolling over, a Chevy Silverado clipping a curb, or a C7 Corvette shredding a tire, it’s a pretty commonplace thing to see. Stay safe out there.

Personally, I enjoy the videos when the miscreants get run over by the cars and end up in a full body cast and wearing a colostomy bag for 10 months.
