In the great pantheon of automotive shenanigans, the donut has to be one of the most basic and time-honored traditions. However, despite the fun to be had, a good donut can get very expensive, very quickly, and not just because of the replacement tires. In fact, a whole lot more can go wrong, as the driver behind the wheel of this C7 Corvette learns in the following viral video.
Recently making its way onto social media, the video is a little over 30 seconds long, and shows a white C7 Corvette out on a dark street. The video opens with the Corvette slowly backing up as a crowd gathers around it, phones out and taunting the driver to provide some post-worthy content. Little does the driver know he’s about to deliver a whole lot more than he bargained for.
As the video gets under way, we see the liner around the rear passenger-side wheel is drooping down onto the tire, likely the result of some past shenanigans. We see the rear tires briefly chirp before the driver really lays into the throttle, sending the wheels into a frantic spin as the tires scramble for traction.
The C7 Corvette slowly moves forward as the driver eases off the brakes, the rear tires now billowing smoke. The driver turns the wheel to the left, and as the car is pitched around, we see the other side of the car. Sparks are flying from around the driver’s side rear tire. This is likely not a very good sign.
The driver keeps their foot in it, and the tire explodes with a powerful bang. A huge cloud of dust and smoke surrounds the rear end of the C7 Corvette as chunks of the body fall to the ground. As the driver rolls forward, we see the extent of the damage. Suffice to say, that looks like one very expensive burnout.

Whoever made this post forgot the video part !! So much for seeing the burnout and foolish damage caused because of stupidity and lack of care for the individuals around the vehicle. I truly hope no one was injured. Tomg
Never understood donuts or burnouts. Is screwing up your car and tires fun?
What a dumb@ss, who treats a nice car like that?
Very disheartening to witness the abuse of very nice vehicles.
Where is the video? When you tout a video in your headline, it is a good idea to include said video in your story.
