We’re headed back to the ‘70s with a pair of GM-made classics, including a 1974 Chevy Corvette and 1970 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme Pace Car. Both of these machines are squaring off in a race down the 1320 in the following Pure Stock Drag Race video.

Coming to us from the Cars And Zebras YouTube channel, the video is about five-and-a-half minutes long, and includes interesting specs and info on both rides, as well as several rounds of racing action.

Specs include a compression ratio of 9.0:1, while output is sent to the rear wheels by way of a four-speed manual transmission and 3.73 gears. Weight with driver is estimated at 3,800 pounds. Meanwhile, over in the other lane, we have a 1970 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme, which is gussied up as an Official Pace Car for the 54th Annual Indy 500. Notably, this particular model is relatively rare, especially compared to the Corvette rival, with just 358 units produced. This particular example is also fitted with the standard 350 V8, as opposed to the optional 455. Output is rated at 310 horsepower at 4,800 rpm and 390 pound-feet of torque at 3,200 rpm, while the compression ratio comes out to 10.25:1. The video host also points out that the Cutlass’ output is in gross power values, whereas those of the Corvette are in net power ratings. A three-speed automatic routes output rearwards. As for the weight, the Cutlass, with driver, tips the scales at a hefty 4,120 pounds.
