If you love something, you don’t let anything stand in your way. That includes this guy, who is bound to a wheelchair. However, his situation hasn’t stopped him from building and racing an incredible Chevrolet K5 Blazer.
The Blazer build is known as “Open Container” for obvious reasons; the SUV’s top has been cut open and looks more like a pickup than anything. Special hand controls in the cockpit allow the owner to operate the brake and throttle, which sends him down the quarter-mile in the 10-second range.
Details surrounding the engine aren’t provided, but we do know it’s naturally aspirated with nitrous. Searching through the video’s comments reveals the owner may be toying with a turbo setup in the near future, however.
Whatever happens, we’d love to see more of this awesome build that’s attached to an inspirational driver. Check out the video above.
