We’re even going to put it in bold this time. This video is absolutely NSFW with explicit language. Headphones are advised. You’ve been forewarned.
We’re beginning to think Mahk is one of the most real of real people Chevrolet could ever find for its “Real People, Not Actors” advertising campaign. YouTube channel Zebra Corner has shot to the top in popularity since our protagonist Mahk, with his thick Northeastern accent, began spoofing Chevrolet’s ads.
This time, he’s back, and he’s looking at the first ever, 2017 Chevrolet Cruze hatchback. You really never know what will come out the mouth of this guy with sarcastic, explicit comments at every corner. After some name calling, Mahk loses it over the starting price of the Cruze hatchback, then points out the small print many ads don’t ever want you to read: “as shown, $29,860.”
If you’ve been following the series of spoofs, you’ll remember Mahk had a few comments during the J.D. Power Initial Quality award commercial on the series of opening doors. Well, they’re back in this ad. “My god, you guys and your doors.”
Now that the focus group has seen the entire vehicle, after another door stunt, Mahk sums up his feelings in a typical fashion.
“Honestly, I’m just as disappointed with the back half as I was with the front half.”
Well said, Mahk, well said. Go ahead and press play on the video right up above.

I really hope someone at GM headquarters sees these videos. I know these are a just poking fun at those horrible “Real people, not actors” commercials. But he speaks the truth about how overpriced GM cars are these days. There is no reason for the Cruze hatchback to start at 22k when the sedan starts at 17k. Then as usual in the commercial they show a fully loaded car and say it starts at this low price with a disclaimer saying this price as shown. I really hope GM wakes up and starts getting their prices more in line with the competition. Because their competitors beat them on price most everytime.
i hate those commercials too but to be fair, don’t all car companies show the top of the line models when they advertise?
True that. You can even get something with AWD for 18k elsewhere (cough, Subaru) that you won’t have to take back to the dealer all the time for recalls.
I have watched a few of the spoofs and they are the most unfunny thing I have ever seen. Stop it already! Just stop!
I’m glad these spoofs came along. If it would only wake the dumbo’s up in the marketing dept. to see how bad their ad really is by way of the spoof.
