Opel officially took the wraps off of its B-size crossover weeks earlier, but it invaded Berlin, Germany, to show the Opel Crossland X off for the first time to the public.
The Crossland X is one of several PSA-GM alliance products, meaning it shares plenty of Peugeot cues. But, Opel has wrapped the Crossland X in its own unique wrapper with typical Opel appointments.
Designed as a crossover for urban adventures, the Crossland X arrives with 44 cubic feet of space with the seats folded flat. Despite its size, Opel thinks customers will be surprised by the liberal cargo space.
The Crossland X is one of seven new Opels to be revealed this year and the first of many new crossovers coming to the brand. Expect to see the Opel Grandland X, the brand’s C-segment CUV, to show face next.
Comments
It was reveal, but they didn’t reveal engines and gearboxes which will Crossland X have, also fuel consumption etc.
Far nicer than Ford CMax. GM and PSA should further partner on platforms as both automakers enter the modular architecture age.
If nothing else, a GM/PSA deal works allow Opel/Buick to offer unique product different than Chevrolet or GMC.
GM should never buy PSA but should develop deeper ties in all markets.
