Chevrolet unwrapped the latest COPO Camaro at the 2016 SEMA Show this past November to much fanfare from the drag racing community. However, lucky bidders had their chance to own the first production 2017 Chevrolet COPO Camaro at Barrett-Jackson, and it went for a pretty penny.
The 2017 COPO Camaro crossed the auction block with a final sale price of $175,000, no small figure for a Camaro. This particular COPO Camaro came equipped with a 350 cubic-inch, supercharged LSX engine and little in the way of intrusiveness for the driver regarding creature comforts.
As stated, this is number 001 of 69 to be built for the 2017 model year, and the entire sale price benefitted the United Way. If you still have a hankering to own one, it may be too late. A third-party will select owners at random and contact them throughout the first quarter of 2017.
