Another day, another Regular Car Review. This time, Mr. Regular takes a look back two generations ago to the 2001 C5 Corvette.
And the C5 Corvette is an intriguing car to look into. It’s a classic interpretation of the Corvette formula, with its 5.7-liter V8 engine, retro looking Corvette cues, pop-up headlights and more. But, there is a stigma attached to the C5 Corvette. The kind of person that owns one is… older.
As the video points out, it’s the baby boomers who love this car, cherishing it and thinking they hold a collector car in their garage.
Except, the C5 is not a collector’s item. It’s nowhere near reaching a status where its desirability warrants higher prices.
But, what it is, is an excellent iteration of the longest running American nameplate that you can find for a steal on your local Craigslist ad.
