One of the most major reveals at the 2015 SEMA Show no doubt revolves around the 2016 COPO Camaro. Chevrolet teamed up with NHRA Funny Car driver, Courtney Force, to create a show-stopping concept, ready to translate to production.
Chevrolet Performance has provided a playback of the reveal, with help from Force, where the brand introduced its latest foray into professional drag racing.
Sitting under the hood is a supercharged 350 cubic-inch V8, paired to a three-speed automatic transmission. Force says nearly everything she worked on with the Chevrolet team came from her experience with Funny Car racing, in an attempt to create truly capable 2016 COPO Camaro. And, of course, the latest COPO Camaro benefits from all the improvements seen on the 2016 Chevrolet Camaro as a whole.
Chevrolet will build just 69 examples of the 2016 COPO Camaro, with the show car seen her to be auctioned off at Barrett-Jackson in 2016 to support the United Way.
