General Motors and Chevrolet came back with a prize after headhunting for the Chevrolet brand’s next Executive Vice President Global Director of Strategy and Research.
That prize is Ash Farr, now former CEO of McCann Australia, a creative advertising agency, according to Mumbrella.
How good is Farr at his job? He has been CEO of the firm since 2011, where has has managed brands such as Coca-Cola, Microsoft and MasterCard for the Australian and New Zealand marketplaces. Still under the McCann umbrella, Farr will reside at the commonwealth office in Detroit for the firm.
His new position will return him to his roots as a strategist at Chevrolet, as the brand looks to build momentum with its onslaught of new 2016 models, including the 2016 Chevrolet Cruze, 2016 Volt and 2016 Camaro.
Farr will begin his new role in January of 2016.
