Crazy Fast Camouflage Corvette Likes Itself Some Street Racing: Video

Has street racing has gained popularity in the last decade or did the advent of YouTube simply amplify the existing underground scene? We’ll likely never know for sure. It’s reckless nonetheless.

The following video has garnered more than 40,000 views in a week and it’s easy to see why. The video has all the right ingredients: two Ludicrously fast C5 Corvettes, a bright orange Dodge Viper, a (seemingly) empty highway, and gigantic bottles of nitrous. The only thing that’s missing is a cop pursuit.

In a break from tradition, we’re treated to two separate races. The first sees the “DriverMod” SRT Viper with bolt-ons, a 250 shot of nitrous and sticky MT drag radials that squeal out around 870 wheel horsepower take on the camouflaged C5 with a forged motor and a 1500 ECS supercharger that helps it kick out around 800 whp. Meanwhile, a rebuilt transmission and differential help keep it on the straight and narrow. We won’t spoil it but be sure to stick around for the second race.

Up next we have a the featured camo Corvette against another C5 that packs under its red hood a stock LS3 engine, bolt ons, and a healthy 150 shot of juice.

Catch it all in the usual spot above.

A far-too-tall Ontarian who likes to focus on the business end of the auto industry, in part because he's too tall to safely swap cogs in a Corvette Stingray.
