The FIA ERC Junior championship is just as it sounds: these are young, talented drivers putting their name on the global scale to show the world what they’re capable of. And it’s a good time to be on team Opel, because the manufacturer team has taken home the championship title.
20-year old driver Emil Bergvkist had the honors of competing in the Estonia Rally to, placing second to score the winning title. Co-driver Joakim Sjöberg ensured their safe keeping and got them across the line in a quick, efficient race.
The Opel Adam R2 once again served as the rally racer of choice for team Opel, and the drivers are as thrilled about the car as they are about winning the championship. But, Bergvkist doesn’t credit himself. He shares the credit with his teammates for having a successful series, with each individual playing an essential part in securing the win for the team.
