C6 Corvette And Renault Clio Collide On The Nürburgring: Video

Taking your need for speed to the track is the safest way to enjoy what your vehicle has to offer, but sometimes accidents happen. This particular mishap occurred at the famed Nürburgring during the track’s “Carfreitag,” which translates to “Car Friday.” Carfreitag is the unofficial opening of the course, and invites nearly anyone to bring their car out for a lap of the intense road course.

Thousands took part in the drive, and with that many cars duking it out on the skinny road ways, mistakes are a given. Fortunately, one C6 Corvette driver realized he wasn’t going to cut a corner in the proper fashion, and rather than creating a catastrophe, he bails into the grass. Well done.

More unfortunately is the Renault Clio driver who also misjudges the same corner and decides to also bail onto the same portion of grass. In the process, the Clio clips the C6 Corvette‘s bumper at a fairly high rate of speed, just missing a passerby BMW.

The accident could have been much worse, and thankfully no one was hurt. The Clio driver should have quite the repair bill coming his way, though. Check out the video of the accident right down below.
